When I started looking for ways to make money online I had no idea that I was going to enjoy it as much as I have, let alone be as excited about moving forward with it as I currently am…
I don’t want to sound cliché but, Kindle Publishing is changing my life. It’s not the money (I’ll talk about it in a second) but it’s the idea behind making passive income while doing something that I love that has me so excited. The more I learn about different ways to earn an income through my MacBook, the more I get excited about sharing those ways with other people. That is my ultimate goal, to be able to show others how to break away from the norm and do what they want. See, I have always been someone who likes to go against the grain of society. I took a direct sales job when all my friends worked at places like Safeway and Bell. I dropped out of college, cause they wanted me to take courses that I had zero interest in and for what? To give me a stupid piece of paper that would help me do what exactly? Go work for someone else and become a cog in this ever turning wheel? NO thank you! I want freedom, complete and total freedom. I want to be able to do what I want, when I want with whom I want. I want to be able to live wherever I want with my family, and not have to be tied down to a place of work. I don’t want to have to answer to anybody any more, I am done with doing things the way things have always been done. I want to make money in my boxers and play video games all day (some days) and take 1 month long trips with my family without having to worry about who needs to get time off of what. The world as we know it has more then enough opportunities to make this happen and I plan on taking advantage of each and everyone. Today I realized that more then ever, as my wife worked a full day from home, I was playing with my daughter, watching movies and building with MegaBlocks and my passive income from my books brought in more money then my wife made from working her job. We were both thrilled as this means we are on the right path.
The more success that I see the more I want to be able to share that with others who just don’t like what they are doing and want to change their life.
Kindle Publishing for me as been a fantastic way to get into Internet Marketing. Learning everything from how Amazon works, to setting up lead pages and squeeze pages for my books, its been more fun then I had envisioned. Of course I have had a few set backs along the way. At times feeling frustrated and worrying if this is really going to work out for me. But I said before that I was going to be committed to the process and give it a full year. Luckily for me learning as much as I can from courses, youtube and Facebook groups, things are really starting to pick up.
November was a breakout month for me, as I took my income from less then $20/month to over $300/month. That not only gave me the confidence that I could do this but it lit a fire in me that hasn’t gone out. I remember when I first got into acting my father said you have to strike while the iron is hot. Meaning when you have something working pour everything you got into it to keep the flame alive. Thats exactly what I did, I came out with 2 other books around the same topic and those started doing well too. I found a writer that I was happy with and stuck with her, of course not without trying some other ones that produced pretty mediocre books I will admit. Things were moving along nicely and I was starting to really figure kindle publishing out.
Being part of Facebook groups helped me realize that I need to get my books on Createspace as well, thats Amazon’s paperback print on demand service. That was a game changer for me. If I had only done that in the beginning. For the month of December my income from Createspace is over $1500USD! My books have been a massive hit on it so far and its really helped fuel the fire for future projects. Keep in mind this is my first month doing paperbacks, I still have lots to learn about them. All in all for December I should be brining in somewhere around $2000-$2500USD, that is over my goal of reaching $1000 passive income by Dec 31th 2016. Keeping in mind that I started all this back in August, I am happy with how 2016 is wrapping up.
Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel for 2017 and hitting my goal of earning $200,000 in passive income by Dec 31th 2017 with Kindle Publishing and a few other projects that I will be working on. I have reached out to a mentor to get some coaching in the new year and I am ready to take the internet by storm in 2017 and start living the MacBook lifestyle.
